Couple years ago with the prices so high I told myself I’m only buying perennials if you look deep there’s lots that have flowers. But I do dip and get a couple annuals that are different and really catch my eye and bring me joy joy. I’m started to plan out my garden getting frost so playing the waiting game which is normal here in southern Ontario. Your garden is going to pop girl lovely. Put stones in the bottom of the pots but it still will get to much water when it rains it really does have to go some where even a tray it’s going to hold the water. Also the best fertilizer for trees is trim it it will grow like crazy.
Yes you need drainage. Either drill holes and put a tray under it or set a different pot that already has drainage holes in it inside the bigger planter.
Yes you need that drainage whatever you put in there will die without drainage. Just use a tray or use it as a cover pot then you would have to pull the inside pot every time you water
Hey there sorry I haven’t been catching up on your videos. But I know your garden going to look great.
Drill the holes for sure! you can find inexpensive trays at Home Depot or Lowes. also make sure you are using a potting mix and not garden soil. Happy Spring 🙂
So excited to see how the new plant babies do! As for ground color. Idk if you guys have them down in Georgia, but I love creeping phlox. I have them all over the place. They grow fast and produce beautiful flowers.
If I were you I would pull out all of those companion rose bush shoots because they will take over your garden quickly!
Glimmer: I have never heard of this before and it is awesome to know what that feeling is called. Whenever I see beautiful flowers and gardens, I think of my late mother who adored flowers and plants. Glimmer is an appropriate word to describe my mother. Thanks for teaching me that term, Jia.
Omg what happened to all the trees???
Draining hole is key! You’ll get root rot otherwise on everything.
Drilling holes is a must. Too much water and root rot will happen if you don’t. Trays are inexpensive and you can put small decorative rocks in the tray
Hibiscus are amazing plants. Back home in the Bahamas we use the leaves to thicken and strengthen our hair. Just clean the leaves well, the blend with a little bit of water, and wash your hair. It lathers like shampoo. It becomes really slimy, so if you’re sensitive to texture use gloves or just don’t bother at all. Lol.
