  1. 16:43 you are spot on that you need to take the time to say yes to yourself. You’re exiting a self sacrificial season and a space where your girls are needing to learn independence. They need to see their momma modeling healthy self-care.

  2. Pawn shops are my jam! You can get incredible deals on luxury items. If you don’t mind them being second hand, pawn shops are great places to score great deals.

  3. Yes, please more talks about this! After being a young widow and raising my daughter alone I was BROKE for 15 years because it was important to be able to take care of my daughter. Now im 46 and have worked hard to move up and im finally making a good income and I deserve little things but it feels good to take care of myself.

  4. As long as you have the finances to buy yourself something a little nice, I say, 12:07 12:10 go for it! The hot combs are amazing. I have a daughter with really curly hair and it works well for her. I bought it through Walmart and I think I paid 25 for hers and it works amazing I agree you definitely want a flat iron that you can control the heat. My daughters have one of those as well.

  5. As a Mom when my children were growing up I always wanted to make sure that the kids and my husband had everything they needed. I always came last and it was 100% my own doing. I wish I wasn’t like that. It took me until age 50 to take care of me

  6. Love this! With your decluttering journey, it also makes sense to buy exactly what you want so you don’t feel like you need more later on

  7. As a mom, I completely agree. As a single parent, I always would put my children’s needs above mine. I would always have that mom guilt if I bought something for myself and would talk myself out of getting whatever. My kids are now grown (17 & 21) and I’m 41 and I’ve been learning to say yes to myself. Love you channel! ❤

  8. I highly recommend the Thuma bed. It was so easy to put together, very high quality, solid, and silent! My last bed from Raymour & Flannigan was horrible. The Thuma bed is great to mix and match other bedroom furniture.

  9. Baby steps on luxury is great! I treated myself to a MCM bag this month. Most I ever paid in life for a bag and I don’t regret it. Sometimes u just have to

  10. Absolutely agree! We deserve things too. This was actually one of my new years resolutions to prioritize myself more. It feels good. ❤️

  11. I use good ole Paul Mitchell to really get my sons and I’s locs clean too..I usually do the last wash with a moisturizing shampoo before conditioning.
I know the Daddy/Daughter dance is gonna be so stinkin CUTEEE!
