I've also been closing my apple watch rings daily. I average around 2 miles each day. I must say that I have actually been completely enjoying myself. Moving my body daily has literally made me look at myself in a different way. My body is altering and I'm here for it.

Do you close you apple watch rings or move daily?

  1. 40 is a big number I teach a 30 minute fitness class three days a week and I tell everyone 30 minutes a day will help the pain go away 30 minutes a day is all you need at this point in your life you are realizing what you need…. and what you don’t need.

  2. Yes! Closing the rings everyday feels good physical and mind wise. Love walking. Taking care of yourself when you’re younger will definitely be helpful as you age! Good job. Keep up the great work. If you take care of your body, it will take care of you.

  3. I incline walk on a treadmill everyday…. leaves me dripping in sweat and proud of myself. I show up for myself.

  4. I do the treadmill Monday through Friday for 45-50 min and virtual boot camp Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday for 60 min. Also following Weight Watchers and I too have done some Grow with Joe Videos. Definitely not looking for a weight just a lifestyle change. Keep up the good work !

  5. I’m so happy that you are feeling good and you are doing so well on your health and exercise journey! Thank you for sharing all the knowledge you have found along the way. I’m hoping that I can become more active and more healthy 14:30 as well. I’ve been in a dark, unhealthy place for far too long and it’s hopeful to know that contraction of muscles can release chemicals to help us treat depression and anxiety!! What a bonus! I’m walking tomorrow! It’s still cold here in Indiana, but not terribly so! Thank you Jia!

  6. This is so exciting! It’s great to hear all the positive things you’ve gained from walking. When my kids were young (They’re in their late teens/mid 20’s now) I had a hard time finding time to exercise so I started walking while my kids were in activities. So if my daughter was at rehearsal for 90 minutes and my son had soccer that overlapped for 45 minutes that was walking time. Sometimes it was in the parking lot of the indoor soccer field or I’d go into Target (especially if it was after dark) and walk with a cart through every aisle. It felt good in all the ways you mentioned and allowed me care for myself while caring for my kids. I also have to tell you that I really liked how you talked about your body and while it may be in season or not, you love it nonetheless. It’s something we all should learn! You are beautiful inside and out!

  7. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!! Sharing your new outlooks and the different studies you read have been very eye opening and have inspired me in a new way to try again for healthier habits to live a healthier life. Not to “hit certain goals”…but for longevity.

  8. I’m so happy for you!!! This was incredibly uplifting and motivating. We just got back (today) from a weeklong vacation to NJ and NYC. I averaged 12,000 steps every day! One day we walked 20,898 steps (freakin 10 miles!!) and it felt so good. I had been walking the dog and hitting 5-6,000 steps almost every day, but I want to keep the momentum and hit those higher goals.

  9. Thank you for the closing ring suggestion. I will certainly aim to do that with my apple watch. I have been walking and now exercising and strength training a bit since Jan5. I also added in intermittent fasting. So far 16.8lbs down but the most improvement I see is my mobility and a clear mind!! If I never lost a pound that alone is worth this journey. Thanks for sharing your experience I look forward to hearing from you it helps me continue mine.

  10. I SO needed this video today!!!! I’ll be 61 in a few days and feeling just blah… I had signed up for a gym about 10 days ago and have been once, life happens. Was thinking this morning just cancel membership you know your not going to be committed but after watching your video I am worth going no matter age. So on my work break I will go to the gym and work on getting this extra lbs off. Thank you!!!❤❤❤❤

  11. Great inspiration. I am on the cusp of 50 and all I have been doing is complaining about my weight gain since working from home. I never close my ring. I have decided to stop making excuses, stop waiting for others to motivate me, and just get off my butt. I am going to just do it. Thank you for the video.

  12. At 51, I broke my leg. It was a wake up call. It took months to heal physically and mentally. Now I walk more and I’m getting my legs stronger again. Don’t wait for an accident to open your eyes to what strength training can do. Your future self will thank you.

  13. I’m 40 and although I have a very physical full-time job I still want to start a daily habit of eating well and doing some core strengthening exercises and stretching. I think you’ve inspired me to get outside more
