Yes, “first world problem” to an extent but our houses are designed with insulation to have heat and AC so when those things go out phew it’s difficult.
This was awesome, Jia. You are so right about getting to a point in your life where you don’t care what others think of you. This doesn’t mean that I don’t care what my family and other loved ones think or feel about me; it means that I spent way too much time when I was younger worrying about what people thought or believed about me or how I should live my life. It has taken me longer to come to this realization than you have (I’m 61) but better late than never. I love what you said about what you are teaching your girls and how you want them to be confident and to value themselves. That is so awesome. Don’t worry about the content of your videos or vlogs because I enjoy watching. Variety is the spice of life as the old adage goes. Thanks for sharing, stay true to you and continue being Blessed, girl!
Thanks for sharing Jia. A very thought provoking and transparent conversation☺️.
I can completely understand how you’re feeling. I turned 36 this year and my kids are now teenagers (15 and 13). It finally hit me this year that in just a few short years, my kids will be adults and to spend any more time worrying about other people’s opinions or what is the latest and greatest trend, it’s just not a priority anymore. Family should always be the number one and you’re doing a great job with your daughters. Enjoy these next few years with them, because they will go by very fast ☺️
Hi Jia, I’m 47 and my daughter graduated last year. I am finally in that place too where I don’t dwell so much on what people think. Thanks to the pandemic, my circle is much smaller and I am fine with that. I am on the journey of focusing more on my health as I get older, and trying to get used to the evolving relationship with my daughter…she’s the only child ❤
Aww! I love ALL your content (especially loved the landscaping (flowers/gardening) this summer), and I love you! I feel like we’re besties! Thank you for being so real! I don’t think you realize what a strong message of kindness and strength and hope your platform sends out into the world.
I love this perspective and encouragement so much. Thank you!
31! I’m in the stage of loving ! Loving my life, loving my husband, loving my child and loving what I have. Being grateful for what I have and not rushing off to the next big thing!
You are an absolutely amazing person! Your positive attitude and your REALNESS is what draws me to your channel! I’ve been watching for 3 years now!
I so needed this today! I have been feeling all of the same feelings but did not know how to tie them all together the way that you were able to explain it. Thank you! Hugs to you and your family!
I love watching you try new things. The gardening videos are the best. You are always growing. Perfect role model for your girls. You are a great mom!
Yes!! I’m 38 and I feel like I’m transitioning to someone who doesn’t care about others opinions. Almost like I’m really becoming me. I have also stopped chasing people, either family or friends. I’ve stopped giving myself emotionally to people who don’t reach out to me. I’ve been called selfish and I respond “no, I’m just redirected my energy to those who deserve my time”.
I just turned 30 and have an almost 5 month old daughter. I love the messages that you’re teaching your girls. I’m in a phase of life where I’m trying to fix all the messes that I created in my 20s. From being in a bad relationship with someone I knew wasn’t God’s best for me for way too long, and dealing with the heartbreak of becoming a single mother, all while trying to figure out finances, career, etc. Just trying to be a better women and figure out who I am again, and rebuild from there.
You are doing the best you can sis! Be proud of how far you’ve come. You got this!
I absolutely love your channel and all your content. I had to unsubscribe to all the other YouTube moms bc it all just felt fake and unrealistic and I just couldn’t relate. But I can relate to you so much you keep it real and not try to be something you aren’t and I love that. ❤️ I have three kids 14 yr old girl and two boys 7 and 18 months and I also work from home and you are so inspiring, you are the reason me and my husband got a Costco membership, lol and you also inspired me to get into gardening and I absolutely love it. Stay blessed!!!
